FAWCO Conference

Dear AWG members,

I am delighted to be attending the FAWCO Interim Meeting in The Hague in the Netherlands from 23-26 March 2018.

Development Grants 2018

At the meeting, the recipients for the Development Grants 2018 will be announced.  Each club has one overall vote which I will submit online by the 24 March deadline.  There are four categories for the awards- Education, Environment, Health and Human Rights.  Each club can vote for one project from each of the categories.  In order to cast out collective vote I would like you to send me your choices and I will take the majority as our collective vote. Please read the attached document with descriptions of each of the projects.  Let me know by email  which 4 projects you would like to support, send me simply 4 numbers before the 22 March

Education- 1,2 or 3 (choose one project)

Environment- 4 (choose one project)

Health- 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 (choose one project)

Human Rights- 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 or 15 (choose one project)

If you would like to know more about FAWCO Development Grants please visit the FAWCO website at www.FAWCO.org and go to the FAWCO Foundation page.

Foundation Night- Alice in Netherlands

There are a number of fundraising auctions and raffles on FAWCO Foundation Night at the meeting. These include the Friendship Quilt raffle and the Queen of Hearts raffle, the Silent and Live Auctions.  If you would like to purchase raffle tickets online go to http://www.fawcofoundation.org

I will be taking a donation from our club for the silent auction and will be donating personally.  If you would like to contribute something small for the Cheshire Cat Silent Auction, please let me know.

Also if you would like to bid for any of the prizes in the FAWCO foundation Live auction (The Hatter’s Matters)  please see the attached link to view the catalogue of wonderful prizes-I think there is one you may recognise! http://www.fawcofoundation.org/images/stories/Conference%2018/Live_Auction_Catalog_2018.pdf

You do not have to attend the meeting in order to bid or win!

Thank you for your support and let me know your choices for the DGs
