LaCle (L'aide aux Cancers et Leucémies chez l'Enfant) was created in 1988 by parents directly concerned, and works to help children hospitalized in Montpellier with these diseases and their parents, for whom accommodations are available in LaCle's 13-room house across the road from the pediatric hospital Arnaud de Villeneuve. A telephone call to LaCle got the response, "OF COURSE we remember AWG. How could we forget?"
That is heart-warming, and it will be a pleasure to renew our contacts with them. LaCle's house always needs to renew the equipment, such as bed sheets, dishes, decorations. They will also take donations of children's books, games and toys for the brothers and sisters staying at the house. (Only new toys can be given to the children in the hospital.) LaCle is also looking for volunteers who could stay at the house one weekend per month to replace the person who is there on weekdays to help the parents, and sometimes their children. Learn more about LaCle on their website: www.lacle.asso.fr .
Please contact Maggie if you have donations.
