Both the projects nominated by AWG, Mentawai Boarding School in Indonesia, and Growing Guayule in South Africa (a/k/a Condoms, Cash and Cooking Fuel) received 2016 Development Grants, each in the amount of $4,500. We can be very proud that other clubs also find our projects worthwhile.
We received words of appreciation from both the projects.
From Indonesia: “I feel so glad receiving this mail....thank you very much for all your effort you did to get this grant. I can imagine how is the building going to be repaired, so that children who stay there will be in guaranty safe since the building becoming strong.”
And from South Africa: “Excellent news indeed! I’ve already shared this news with the Agricultural Research Council CEO and Executive Director. Now we can get the planning ball rolling towards a team identification, project introduction, and site preparation trip."
